Your home has been hit with water damage, whether as a result of a flood, a storm, leaky pipes, or any other cause.
Whats the first thing you do?
If you picked any answer other than A, Ive got some news for you.
Water Damage Is Much, Much More Urgent Than You Think!
In fact, according to insurance industry research, water damage from floods and storms cause more damage to homes each year than forest fires.
Structural damage from flooding costs over $1 billion a year annually in repairs, lost furniture and electronics, and other damage-related costs. What most home owners arent aware of is that water damage does not ONLY affect electronics and furniture. Quite the opposite, in fact; water damage generally causes more structural damage to homes than damage by fire or wind.
Structures most commonly affected by water damage include:
In fact, in extreme cases, water damage from simple flooding (not even violent storm water) can cause so much structural damage to a home that the house needs to be torn down. This can occur with as little as five feet of flooding in a bungalow style house.
This sort of damage occurs as a result of processes such as:
Spalling (a process of flaking that can result in structural damage to the concrete after water leaks inside it).
The big picture?
If your home is prone to water damage, you might have flood insurance.
As a licensed contractor, we can accept payment from your insurance company without any preconditions.
In fact, in most cases, hiring us is MUCH more effective than hiring the water repair company your insurance company recommends. Usually, your insurance company will recommend the largest contractor in your county, usually a construction company instead of a dedicated water damage repair company. We, on the other hand, specialize 100% in water damage repair, with a dedicated team trained exclusively in this one area.
This makes our company the BEST pick for water damage repair and restoration services in (area).
Water damage restoration and repair is a very broad field; it encompasses a wide variety of removal, repair and restoration techniques, each requiring special gear and manpower.
We offer a FULL range of water damage restoration and repair services, including:
If you’ve got water damage, the time to take action is NOW! Water damage gets worse the longer its left unattended to, so the best policy is ALWAYS to get a professional on the scene as soon as possible. We’re open 24/7, so it doesn’t matter what time of the day or week it is, our time is standing by.
Water damage is not the same as fire damage or wind damage.
Once the flooding event is over, in most cases that means the damage is just starting to be done.
Its not the force of the water entering your basement that causes damage, its the presence of still water eating away at the materials in your home.
If theres water in your home, you need to act now.

Your home depends on it!
First, I would like to say that when a company does an outstanding job they deserve to get the credit for it and I believe Water Damage 911 is one such company. When your home is struck with water damage it not a small issue. We had a pipe burst in our bedroom closet wall and it flooded our entire upstairs and much of the downstairs.
My initial though were that everything is ruined. I ended up calling Water Damage 911 because they seemed reputable to me but really I needed someone right away and I’m here to tall that I’m glad I made that call. They showed up at my house rather quickly and were able to save my entire upstairs. I didn’t believe it was possible but they proved me wrong and I feel like everyone should know what kind of company this is.

I called because my basement flooded after a storm. It actually took a little over an hour for them to get to my house. It’s okay because they were able to fix water in the basement. They took care of my stuff, nothing was broken or scratched and they even helped me fix the problem so it wont happen again. I’m happy with Water Damage 911.

My home was damaged in a flood recently, an almost everything that I own was destroyed by the flood waters. I lost furniture, photographs, all of my clothing, and all of our electronics.
The one thing that I am hoping is that we will be able to hire a water damage restoration firm that will be able to fix some of the damage that was done to our home, structurally, so that we will be able to move back into it at some point.
I know that a lot of our neighbors are looking for the exact same thing right now, so it will be difficult to hire a top-notch water damage restoration company that is not already booked.
Of the companies that we have talked to, some of them are too busy to even come out and do an estimate. That counts them out right off the bat. However, a few companies have come out and look at the property and submitted bids for our project. Now it is just a matter of figuring out which of those companies is truly high quality.
The first thing we are going to do is talk to some of the people that we know who had to get restoration work done after the last flood that we had around here. Hopefully, some of our friends and acquaintances will be able to shed some light on which of the water damage restoration companies worked well in their situation.
The next thing that we are going to do is go online and look at all of the reviews that have been left by past clients of each of the flood damage restoration companies. We want to know what their past clients have experienced when using their service, especially the ones who felt strongly enough about it to be vocal in her review forum.
The last factor that we will base our decision on is simply the price on the bid. We are going to find out what our insurance payout is going to be in a few days, and we are going to need to hire a restoration company that fit within the budget defined by our insurance check.
Whichever company we end up using, I am certainly looking forward to having all of the water damage fixed so that we can move back into our home that we love so much.
Mother Nature is not always kind, and recently I had to do some flood damage restoration in my house after a big storm. I was lucky and managed to have everything clean and in order again in a relatively short amount of time, so here are some tips to keep in mind if the same thing happens to you.
First of all, when there is flooding in your house you want to stay safe. Be sure to turn off the electricity as soon as possible. If you need it to charge your cell phone, try to find a safe place to do it like at a neighbors house or fast food restaurant.
Next you want to let your insurance company know what happened and find out which flood restoration companies they recognize as qualified to do the work. If you do not check with them there is a chance that they could reject your claim. Depending on the extent of the damage that could end up costing you a lot of money so you want to keep that from happening.
Then it is time to contact flood damage restoration professionals. They will know what to do in order to clean out and dry your house. Now is not the time to think you can do all the work yourself to save a few dollars! You will want their expertise to do the job right and prevent future problems like mold.
If you have anything that did not get wet or is only slightly damp that you want salvaged, be sure to move it out of there as soon as possible. The longer items sit in damp places, the more of a chance that they could be ruined. Find a safe, dry place you can store these items, such as a family members house or a storage unit.
It is recommended that you take photographs of the flooding and damage as proof, just in case you need it later. I did not end up having to use mine but I am glad I took them because it was like having a safety net. You do not want your insurance company later on disputing what you said happened, and you have no proof to back up your claims.
After the professionals have cleaned up your house, you want to take note of any repairs that need to be done and have them done as soon as possible. The longer a problem stands unfixed, the more of an issue it could become in the future.
While it is never fun to clean up after flooding, with these tips it makes prioritizing tasks easier. Keep a level head and work hard and hopefully your flood damage restoration will go as smoothly as mine did. Once the work is done you will appreciate your clean, dry home more than you ever have before.
