Your home has been hit with water damage, whether as a result of a flood, a storm, leaky pipes, or any other cause.
Whats the first thing you do?
If you picked any answer other than A, Ive got some news for you.
Water Damage Is Much, Much More Urgent Than You Think!
In fact, according to insurance industry research, water damage from floods and storms cause more damage to homes each year than forest fires.
Structural damage from flooding costs over $1 billion a year annually in repairs, lost furniture and electronics, and other damage-related costs. What most home owners arent aware of is that water damage does not ONLY affect electronics and furniture. Quite the opposite, in fact; water damage generally causes more structural damage to homes than damage by fire or wind.
Structures most commonly affected by water damage include:
In fact, in extreme cases, water damage from simple flooding (not even violent storm water) can cause so much structural damage to a home that the house needs to be torn down. This can occur with as little as five feet of flooding in a bungalow style house.
This sort of damage occurs as a result of processes such as:
Spalling (a process of flaking that can result in structural damage to the concrete after water leaks inside it).
The big picture?
If your home is prone to water damage, you might have flood insurance.
As a licensed contractor, we can accept payment from your insurance company without any preconditions.
In fact, in most cases, hiring us is MUCH more effective than hiring the water repair company your insurance company recommends. Usually, your insurance company will recommend the largest contractor in your county, usually a construction company instead of a dedicated water damage repair company. We, on the other hand, specialize 100% in water damage repair, with a dedicated team trained exclusively in this one area.
This makes our company the BEST pick for water damage repair and restoration services in (area).

First, I would like to say that when a company does an outstanding job they deserve to get the credit for it and I believe Water Damage 911 is one such company. When your home is struck with water damage it not a small issue. We had a pipe burst in our bedroom closet wall and it flooded our entire upstairs and much of the downstairs.
My initial though were that everything is ruined. I ended up calling Water Damage 911 because they seemed reputable to me but really I needed someone right away and I'm here to tall that I'm glad I made that call. They showed up at my house rather quickly and were able to save my entire upstairs. I didn't believe it was possible but they proved me wrong and I feel like everyone should know what kind of company this is.

I called because my basement flooded after a storm. It actually took a little over an hour for them to get to my house. It's okay because they were able to fix water in the basement. They took care of my stuff, nothing was broken or scratched and they even helped me fix the problem so it wont happen again. I'm happy with Water Damage 911.

Going through the trials and tribulations of a flooded home is an experience that many will have to endure. It can come from all kinds of different sources. These can include broken sewer lines, rusted pipes, overflowing sink or toilet or even severe storms. Thankfully, there are companies that can help people get through these stressful situations. They are experts in recovering homes from water damage. Water damage restoration follows a strict set of guidelines that these companies adhere to in order to start and then consider a job complete. By following these standards they are able to get a home back to its condition prior to the flooding.
The first thing that has to be done when going through water damage restoration is to see what damage has been done due to the issue. This process involves technicians from the water damage restoration company and insurance adjusters. They will go through and decide what has been damaged, what the source of damage was and what the best course of action to recover is. They need to know the source so they can determine the level of cleaning needed. For example, water damage from a clean source like a dish washer will not require any decontamination. However, damage caused from a broken sewer line will require extensive decontamination before drying can start.
The next step in the process of water restoration is the actual decontamination and drying. Companies have tools and monitors to help with this step. Many will have warehouses full of dehumidifiers and blowers to remove moisture from the house. They will have scrubbers to help clean floors and surfaces as well. This process can take several days to weeks to complete. They can also recover items in the house as well. Typically they will take them offsite to clean thoroughly.
The last step is to monitor and evaluate the cleaning process. They will use tools and monitors that can measure factors in the home like moisture. If a reading for moisture, humidity or some other factor does not meet standards they will begin the cleaning process again. However, if the readings all check out then they can sign off that the job is complete.
Water damage restoration companies are a life saver in situations they are needed. They are an unfortunate necessity because so many people face these issues. But, for anyone having to face this issue they are seen as saviors because their expertise helps them get back in their homes as quickly as possible.
Restoring a property to how it used to be pre flood damage is a tricky and time consuming process. Pumping the water from a property is really just the start of the floor damage restoration, there are lots of things to think about in order to restore any property to a dry, safe environment in which to live or work.
The amount of water or flood damage restoration needed really depends upon the classification of the flood damage in the first place;
Flood damage which has occurred within someone's home can make the restoration procedure a little tricky as it may involve working around the damaged contents of the home. Many of the contents of the home may need to be moved before flood damage restoration work can begin – this means things like furniture, electrical equipment, clothes and books etc.
Many of the flood damaged contents of the home will also need to be restored or replaced as necessary.
After extracting the water from the property and removing any flood damaged items the real flood damage restoration work can begin. Industrial drying equipment should be placed in the necessary locations within the property according to the damage – this should be monitored regularly to ensure that the temperature, moisture content and humidity are on track for the restoration to be successful.
This water damage restoration equipment needs to stay in place until the moisture content is reduced to a safe and acceptable level at which time the property holder can start the task of dealing with any damage which was caused by the flood water in the first place. This may include simply replacing furniture, carpets etc and will probably involve a substantial amount of interior decoration.
